Two conjoined twins, Valeria and Camila, have quickly become some of the most talked-about faces on social media.
What started as a seemingly ordinary Instagram account has now spiraled into one of the internet’s biggest debates:
Are they real — or an incredibly advanced AI illusion?
Social media sensation
Since launching their account in mid-December 2025, the sisters — who appear to be joined at the base of the neck — have amassed nearly 290,000 followers in just weeks. Their feed shows them living what looks like a glamorous, carefree life: posing for photos, lounging in revealing bikinis, dining out, and spending time with equally polished friends.
At first glance, everything appears polished and picture-perfect.
But that’s exactly what’s raising eyebrows.
Experts raise doubts
AI prompt engineer Andrew Hulbert told the Daily Mail he believes the twins are computer-generated.
“The narrative is created to hype potential interaction. It’s the perfect story of the perfect person to give the perfect result of engagement,” Hulbert explained.
He added that the images appear overly flawless — a common red flag in AI-generated content — especially when multiple “perfect” figures appear together in the same frame without natural imperfections.
Followers call them out
It’s not just experts who are skeptical. Comment sections are filled with accusations:
-
“AI!!!! None of this is real.”
-
“If it’s real, go live stream? I know you won’t… guys this is fake.”
-
“Zoom into the background — it’s clearly AI.”
Some users claim they’ve spotted strange inconsistencies in menus, fingers, facial symmetry, and background details — common signs people associate with AI imagery.

The twins respond
In an Instagram story, Valeria and Camila pushed back against the claims:
“We move, we talk, we’re obviously not AI.”
Still, critics argue that short clips and curated content aren’t definitive proof in an era where AI video tools are rapidly advancing.
So what’s the truth?
As debate continues to swirl online, the mystery remains unsolved. Are Valeria and Camila a groundbreaking real-life story — or a carefully engineered digital creation designed to go viral?
